Are you fed up with your discoloured/yellowish teeth? Would you like to make a
change but regular brushing just doesn’t do it anymore? Teeth whitening at Dentist Luton Advanced Dental Care may be the best option for you and we offer different teeth whitening options to ensure you are proud to smile again.
How does teeth whitening work?
To make sure you get the treatment that is most suitable for you, we offer three different
treatment options, such as at-home teeth whitening, a combination of office and at-home
whitening, and single discoloured tooth internal whitening.
With this short but information-full guide you’ll be able to decide which one is best for you. Of
course, if you still have questions after reading through this post, please don’t hesitate to get
in touch with us.
Home whitening
With this option of teeth whitening, you will receive a custom-made whitening tray, along with
a special whitening gel. Our specialists will give you personalised advice on how long to
keep the trays on for, but on a general rule, you will need to keep the gel on for a specified
amount each day. How long you need to do this for? That is entirely up to you. You just need
to keep repeating the process until you achieve the desired whiteness.
Combination of dental clinic and home teeth whitening
With the option of dental clinic and home teeth whitening, you will see faster results. Our dental
specialists will provide a single session of teeth whitening, which you need to follow up with
the previously described at-home whitening.
Single discoloured tooth internal teeth whitening
We recognise that not all tooth is the same. In case you only need a single tooth to be
whitened (for whatever reason), we are prepared to offer you a customised treatment. With
this option, a special whitening gel will be applied inside the tooth, which will whiten the tooth
inside out.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
HOME WHITENING £375
COMBINATION OF IN-OFFICE AND HOME WHITENING £650
SINGLE DISCOLOURED TOOTH WHITENING £500
When will I see the results?
Depending on the treatment you choose, the amount of time you see the results will change
as well. With home whitening, you will be able to notice change after a few weeks, while with
office whitening, sometimes you can see improvement the day after treatment. However,
don’t forget that we and the state of our teeth are all different so don’t worry if the results
don’t show that fast.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of teeth whitening?
ADVANTAGES
Improved aesthetics
Improved confidence
Confident smile
Gets rid of stains from smoking, eating, coffee, etc.
DISADVANTAGES
Tooth sensitivity (usually temporary)
Crowns, caps, and fillings do not respond to practices
Whitening might be inefficient with injured teeth
Whitened teeth will ensure you have the smile you deserve. It will get rid of the yellowish
shade and stains from drinking coffee, tea, and wine. However, it usually makes your teeth
more sensitive. Don’t worry though, this sensitivity is temporary in general.
Remember though, whitened teeth does not mean you can neglect brushing. Keep brushing
twice a day so that your newly white teeth do not go discoloured.
